These are from 1997. They say '97 was in the thick of the golden years of Ray Ayotte at his company. These were actually made by Ray himself. Or, so I am told.

A tip to help: Are these Ray-era? Got any idea on the year? I guess those who know the serial number codes would know, but for the rest of us...

Fair question. Honest answer: I don't know. Possibly? There really isn't anything I've been craving to play lately.

Possibly vintage? Or maybe a George Way walnut --haven't played on those, yet.

I might be interested in a trade. I have a 67 Rogers Wildwood Kit, 20-12-12-16 with a matching wood 5 x 14 Powertone.

97, most likely Ray's team built them. Regardless, awesome made/sounding drums. Those wood hoop versions are some of the best looking kits ever, imo.
