For Sale or TRADE a really sweet, extra clean, unmodified Slingerland Niles brass badged (‘69/‘70)4 pc.-8x12, 9x13,16x16 and a Virgin 22x14 in Light Blue Pearl- no extra holes, 3 ply shells, all mufflers present, clear interiors/putty colored paint, very close serial numbers show drums were born together... the only real flaw is some snare rash on one panel of the 12...all hardware super clean, no pitting, chrome really shines all around. the 12 and 13 have chrome over brass hoops and the Set-o-matic mounts, the 16 has steel .. bass drum has no receiver mt...(don't know why, ask a previous owner?). inlays on the 22 all there and the hoops show some pedal rash, could use some touchup-spurs/tom legs work perfectly, all drums have a P stamp (Pearl) but no date stamps. toms have new Evans G2 batters and new G12 resonant heads, the kick sports original Logo head and an Evans GMAD Batter. PM for more pics, can only post 10 here....$1495 OBO ..Will Ship via FedEx ground, msg for quote...Thanks

The cataloged Slingerland double bass set was shown in light blue pearl, so you often see that set in that color. Likely this set was sold with a second bass drum.

...AND, those toms could have been hung on a Set-O-Matic on that other BD, or, whether double or single bass, the toms could have been mounted on a double tom stand.

Great set, by the way!

Nice kit. Based on the 227xxx serial number shown, it's a '69/70 kit. Has the 70's style bass drum T-rods. And right at the later '69/early '70 interface they went from tan interiors to clear maple interiors.

Thanks, I’ll revise description...

Jaimoe7, are the shell interiors clear or do they have a weak beige stain? Are all serials 227xxx?
