I can’t imagine a better 14” hihat top. Fortunately for my wallet, I prefer 15’s.

Me too, which is why I haven't bought it yet. But it sure is tempting.
I understand the rarity of that stamp on a 14". But I routinely buy thin and paper thin trans stamp and pre-trans 14's for $75-$100 each delivered. Getting that single LS 14" for nearly $200 and it's not even part of a hi hat pair doesn't really make sense to me.
To a stamp collector that has to have one......that's their baby. I've bought orig pairs of trans stamp 15's hats for $200-$250. A single 14 just doesn't work for me. Rare YES. Highly USEFUL and handy in your kit at the stated price? NO.

Don't Avedis Stamps (besides the 60s and 70s well maybe) have a Sound component? Maybe someone with a Hollow Stamp bottom would want that..........for sound reasons?? for a Top.
stamp id without a sound component is a terrible thing to...err cosmotology.
The sound component difference between 1950's 14's hats from trans stamp, LS, small stamp is fairly small. There's no way to tell ahead of time that this 14" LS top will tonally match a 14" LS bottom....at least not any better
than a trans stamp or Small Stamp bottom of the same weight.
