Hi - I just stumbled across this thread. I can score 12 and 16" Sonor Rocker toms as well but appears to be very little info about them. It seems as if they were entry level Sonor drums from the early 70's with the same Beech shells as the higher range Sonor's but with cheaper hardware and apparently plastic lugs. Anyway, I will grab these two drums and let you know what the outcome is:)

These were marketed as entry level drums for sure, but at the time Sonor only made one shell with the same round over bearing; made in the same factory by the same hands. If you strip these shells you would not be able to tell the difference from 6ply Teardrops.

Folks have nothing but good things to say about Teardrops.
