Hi! Yesterday my recently acquired SONOR pedal (Z 5321) arrived. Just had it temporarily mounted on the bassdrum. It has some real nice and quick reaction although I couldn`t spend any time on further adjustments. I`ve some questions I hope some users of this pedal can respond to.

What`s the function of that corrugated screw and spacer ring combinations behind the mounting plate? I guess the mounting plate itself is fixed by that hexagonal nuts.

What`s your way to go to refresh the black paint? I would disassemble the whole pedal for a general cleaning.

Greetings from Germany!

The mounting plate is a docking station. It can be attached to the bass hoop or a riser and left there. The “corrugated screw and spacer ring” is the bolt/knob that holds the pedal to the docking station.

No advice on painting. I clean, lube, and use as-is with my stuff.
