Howdy,

I've been looking for an inexpensive 4input/4output 24bit Audio Interface for some time, mainly so I can record my drums using the GlynJohns technique... and the Lexicon Omega looks like it will do the job nicely.

I have a Behringer Xenyx 2442FX desk with direct outs, so I can get 4 mics into the Omega no worries. I'm currently using a 16bit 2in/2out interface that came with the desk and mixing it to stereo and recording it, which sounds OK-ish, but I want the control of having all 4 tracks recorded, so I can do plugin stuff and/or blend it better at mixdown.

I've been trying out Reaper and am very happy with it, so I'm unlikely to use the bundled Cubase as I'm not keen to learn another application.

Is there anything else, in the same price-range that I should look at?

I'm keen to hear about anyones experience with the device.
