I need silver sparkle wrap for a 16 x 12 Tom. It’s a project for fun, not an exacting restoration, so budget is more important than exact match. But it should be decent quality. Just need the wrap, I’ll install myself.

Anybody have a good supplier? I know Precision is great, but I’d rather go cheaper if I can. I saw some stuff on eBay but am a bit leery.

I've used the vinyl like the stuff on ebay. It works okay, but it is in no way a replacement for the real thing. It shows imperfections in the shell and tends to pucker around lugs. The sparkle particles are much finer than those in real wrap, so up close they won't match. I'd call it the quick and dirty approach.

Here's a couple of pics of one of the drums that I used the vinyl wrap on. The first one is from a feet away. 1594509302639-1661007236.jpg

That puckering around the lug wasn't there when I applied the wrap - it developed over time.
So that's what you're probably looking at with the cheaper vinyl wrap.

You can buy silver sparkle vinyl tape off eBay for cheap and it is very easy and looks awesome! I've wrapped drums and use 1/2" as bass "inlay"....paperstreetplastics.

I'm not a fan, but Jammin' Sam offers a less expensive line of sparkle wraps.

Thanks! Their store is closed for the time being, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Oh yeah, I remember them. Thanks. the silver looks pretty good in their pics - maybe I'll drop a line about single drum pricing.
