This one goes to eleven
I’m looking for suggestions for small but reliable wedge for those gigs when I can’t use my IEM’s - I think a 15” is probably going to be too much so I guess a 10” or 12”? It will mostly be used for vocals -

For vocal I might want something with more power and a much bigger speaker than a 5”. At least a 12”.My bassist and I have had the same question. We’re not usually pumping out a lot of volume and don’t mic the drums but we’d like to hear the vocals a bit better from our positions. Are those smaller ones worth a darn? I know next to nothing about PA equipment.
Thanks for the info!I have one of the Behringer stand-mounted monitors. It won’t work for a drum monitor. It’s good for keyboardists or vocalists in a quiet gig, but that’s about it.
For a wedge that could be used in a band situation, any 10” or 12 powered speaker from QSC, EV, or Yamaha would work well. Pick your budget and take your pick.
