Well, it’s that time again, I have it done about four times a year …. when I have my drum tech come over and tune all 80 drums , all 160 heads, including all hand drums, and stick percussion drums.

He’s down there right now. Nothing like the day after , I can’t even leave that floor when I get down there.

He has with him the NEW PEARL VECTORCAST and the NEW PEARL CONCERT SNARE STAND for standing play , and a new Remo black dot , wanted clear , accidentally came with a coated BD , said what the heck throw it on there.

As for the drum kits , the excuse is -

PEARL produces more drums than any drum Company in the world , that’s why it arrived fist.

TAMA is one of the best selling drum companies in the world , that’s why it arrive second.

They both significantly out produce SONOR , and that’s why this kit hasn’t arrived yet.

And as for CRAVIOTTO , their excuse isn’t that they produce the least amount of drums of the 4 companies mentioned here, it’s that they produce the most magnificent drums of the 4 companies mentioned here .. not in those exact words, but that was what was insinuated. :)

… so we wait , as for tomorrow , WE PLAY.

Yay!! I’m super pumped! Love drums!

No joke , the order I wanted these kits to arrive when I made this big purchase was .. Masterworks , Star , SQ2 , Custom Shop .. and that’s the way it’s gone, pretty cool , pretty cool.

Just got home , one hour ago , from monster truck jam , front row giant stadium with my wife and son ….. and after one year, six months and two weeks later to the day ,, these were siting front row at my home waiting for me!

IMG_2357.jpeg

Built at the exact same time , from the exact same tree , as this bad boy! Which was received months ago, even though it shipped on the exact same day.

Absolutely cannot wait to add these babies where they belong, as part of a meticulously planned out SONOR “beech madness” 8 piece (every style of beech strategically represented)!

Not too many things in life more exciting than new drum day! The best thing is, it never wears off! And I mean, never , even years later, when you go back downstairs , upstairs , outside , on a stage , wherever it may be - to play your set!

Those drums look edible! Like marble cheesecake, or something!

That is a long wait! I’m sure it will be worth every minute of the wait though.

That veneer is so gorgeous, I truly thought for the longest time that I was looking at shiny, rich, metallic Copper Sonors. I was like, "What...? How did he get a special order, copper-shelled Sonor kit?"

IMG_2367.jpeg

That marbling on the grain is so rich, I really thought that was the bright glare on a copper metal shell! Took me a few seconds to adjust my eyes and realize what I was looking at. Obviously, I was thrown by all that gorgeous, gold hardware.

Just beautiful!

And great job on the interiors. That's how to bring home a Sonor.
