Fantastic Sinc, looking beyond great. Can't wait to hear some good music come out of there.

Whatever it is will be... "recorded with love as if we wrote it ourselves." That's one of our bylines to get chick singers with daddy's money in the door. We have others for different clients...like
"Snort more, sound better!" "Three snare drums on every tune."
"The more guitars the better."..."Free Holy Water."....you get the idea.

Beautiful room! You might consider shooting some videos as well, and not only recording audio. You know, Korean chicks and stuff...

Haha if you only knew what I was thinking....but that's a great suggestion. Anyone recording these days would be interested (and maybe even pay for) video of their session for promo purposes.
In a perfect world I'd push one button and have three cameras recording while they're tracking and just hand them raw footage for them to work out. Something I need to research more. Maybe figure a way to have it pay for itself before too long.

Promo video shooting is a great idea. I think a lot of people would bring their own cameras otherwise, but having them on the house would let them concentrate on playing.

More details. All interior and exterior door jams get calking before trim goes up for an air tight seal.

Is there a flexible seal covering the air gap?
There's weather stripping around each door if that's what you're getting at. Other than that with the calking around the door jams which I'm told stays slightly flexible, there'll be no air gaps. With an air tight seals the two studio entrance doors plus the two between the CR and live room will need to be pushed closed.

I meant the stuff between the two door frames. Since you have double doors with an air gap and double walls with an air gap, I was wondering whether the connection between the door frames is flexible? (Sorry, my English construction vocabulary is somewhat limited.)

No problem Thomas. Each door frame in connected to a separate wall one inch apart, so there's no flex at all. Each door jam is filled with acoustical calking (pictured in post 291) so it's air tight. I think the calking itself dries with some flex.

In this picture you can see the separation of each door. That gap runs all the way around and gets covered only cosmetically. Still need to do the floor gap. There's no flexing at all. Hope this answers your question.

Why would we think that you were thinking anything different than we were thinking?
