Summit Solid Curly Maple Double Bass Drumset For Sale: SOLID, STEAM BENT ONE-PLY SHELLS W/REINFORCEMENT HOOPS. The entire drumset was made from two giant boards from the same tree! Expert Drum Builder, Gary Posey, uses traditional methods of steam bending single ply solid wood boards and installs solid maple reinforcement hoops. EVERYTHING ON THESE DRUMS CAME FROM THE SAME TREE, INCLUDING THE REINFORCEMENT HOOPS!
This was an expensive build with no compromises. Solid Brass (chrome plated) tube lugs designed to mirror a Craviotto build with tube lugs. 2.3mm chrome plated hoops, high quality tension rods with nylon washers and steel washers on every drum. Everything on this drumset is the best of the best. All drums feature Gary's vintage 30 Degree Bearing edges that are smoother than a baby's bottom. In fact, the entire drumset is finished like that...inside and out. They are just stunning.

DRUM SIZES:
(2)15x22 Bass Drum with DW Spurs and recessed Pearl Bass Drum Hoop Claws. EXTRA: two additional Solid Maple Matching Bass Drum Hoops for safe keeping
7x10 on RIMS mount with DW Tom Bracket
8x12 on RIMS mount with DW Tom Bracket
9x13 on RIMS mount with DW Tom Bracket
14x14 Floor Tom with DW brackets and legs
16x16 Floor Tom with DW brackets and legs
w/6.5x14 Matching Snare (killer snare drum) with Tama Linear Drive Strainer and Butt

This is essentially two kits: 22,10,12,14FT & 22,13,16, 6.5x14 Snare. If I can coordinate two buyers, I'll split the kit up into two separate drumsets.

The drums are dead MINT...not a booger on any drum. They have never been gigged or ever left my home. No Stories, no issues, no nothing. They look like fine Scandinavian furniture with Gary Posey's incredible talents in the finishing department. I am only selling due to a very severe low back injury that has brought my playing days to an end. It breaks my heart to sell these drums, but I can't sit for more than 5 minutes on a drum throne before the excruciating pain migrates down my left leg and into my feet/toes. Carry drums to/from a gig is no longer a possibility for me. It makes no sense to keep this incredible set of solid steam bent one-ply drums in cases, unplayed. They are ready for a new home.
BTW, the downgraded photo resolution on DF doesn't do the beauty of this amazing set of drums justice. The hi-res pictures I took of this kit simply don't translate on this site, unfortunately. For serious parties, I am happy to email you the pictures as they look on my computer.
They are much more stunning in person...believe me!

PLEASE NOTE: Stands not included.

The drums are priced to sell at $5500 (Net to me) plus $300 shipping via Greyhound Bus Shipping Service anywhere in the lower 48 states. This is a bargain.

I'm sorry to hear about your back injury, and that it's forcing this sale.

Those drums are just beautiful!

Good luck with selling these. More importantly - good luck with your back.

I am also sad to hear about your back woes . These might be the finest built drums I have ever seen . Gary Posey has such great attention to detail and his bearing edge and finish work is as good as anything Craviotto can do for less than half the price ! This is a great deal for this amount of drums of this quality and sound .

Really sorry about your back, I hope your situation changes for the better in time.

Beautiful drums - you could do a 10/12/14/22 fusion kit and a 13/16/22 w 14 snare rock kit with these, under $3 G each for solid shell beauties...

Good luck with the sale and more importantly the healing.

Thank you for reminding me! Yes, it is essentially two kits and I would break them up accordingly.

Beautiful drums. Really wish I had the money to capitalize on some of the deals that I've seen here. This kit, the Oriollo Copper kit, Jbonzo's birdseye maple Ludwig kit... So many "one of a kind" kits.

Eye popping. Again, sorry for your injuries. Sending healing thoughts your way.

I hope if you really need to sell these, you have them posted everywhere.

I know how the camera tends to soften.

GLWS.

As an aside. They look really good right where you have them.

I have just gotten word from a member who is interested in the 22,13,16FT, & Snare configuration. Is anyone out there interested in a 22,10,12,14FT configuration? Honestly, they would both make excellent kits and someone out there might prefer a smaller set up.
I'd love to hear from someone that is interested in the 22,10,12,14FT set up. I do have an additional matching 8x14 snare that I would consider adding to someone's set up for additional money.
