Howdy all,

Just thought I’d share the results from a little project I’ve been working on for the past week. Part of the reason why I’ve become so attracted to Rogers drums is the hardware, and I’ve developed a little bit of a compulsion to continue making it work for me as efficiently as possible.

So, in the spirit of that notion, I was looking for a way to mount a Roland SPD-SX without having to lug around an extra cymbal stand. It turns out that the Swivomatic cymbal arm hex is the same dimensions as their tom mounts! All I needed was a way to mate the collet assembly to the Roland, and a piece of scrap post oak did the trick. A little bit of shaping and drilling to the wooden block later, and it’s perfect!

I‘d like to note that the cymbal arm is completely intact and can be used as originally intended when I don’t need the Roland.
