What are these 2 mics???
Am I the only one who has a cristal clear mental image of how this photo sounds like????
Tom mic is an AKG D1000E; snare mic is an AKG D200E (with the end grille missing). D1000E was a good inexpensive all-purpose mic with a 3-position bass roll-off switch. D200E featured independent low-frequency and high-frequency pickup elements (LF on sides, HF at the end). We bought them for vocals but they sucked at that, so we used them for drum overheads and snare, which they worked pretty well at.What are these 2 mics???
Oh right!!! I myself, use a D222 for my snare. A while ago we spoke some about your mic steup. I had forgotten about that but now I remember you mentioning you had a bunch of AKG from that era and used a D200 for your snare.Tom mic is an AKG D1000E; snare mic is an AKG D200E (with the end grille missing).
