I have to agree with the seller's comment that it sounds like the ride cymbal in the D'Angelo + Questlove song "Chicken Grease."
So is the cymbal supplying the "chicken" or the "grease?"

It does sound like there's zero tension in that thing as Tama already mentioned - how it got to that point, would be interesting to know.
and I'm pretty sure that you could safe it, by giving it into the hands of a gifted cymbalsmith.
but one has to pay that ridiculous price first..

I saw this cymbal a few weeks ago. It feels like it may have some kind of finish on it that may be muffling the sound. I like the theory of a fire as well. It is DEAD.
