I also have a rare 60s Gretsch round badge 14 x 16 rope tension field snare drum that will be a bass drum soon, not for sale....crazy money would have to be offered/orange paper tag reads "Special"

I have two Gretsch 14 x 18s but thread calls for smaller!

gosh i love these small bass drum threads !! i had to go through all the pages to make sure i didnt post on this one. in the early eighties in new york , i had a 16 inch bass drum , to get it into cabs , and i was one of the few . somebody mentioned chico hamilton used a small bass drum . i love it .

here, in various gigs , im putting the whitney nesting kit with the 16 inch floor / bass drum in the cocktail mode of the bass drum coming up from the bottom of the floor tom , through its paces .

i wouldnt use this for a heavy funk or hip hop or rock gig. but for jazz, clave, brazilian , restarant gigs, hotel gigs , small club gigs , i love it

Yes it is, 14x16. Was hoping for a 12X16, but this works nicely. Came with the Remo PS 3 on the batter, and surprisingly has a good thump to it. Going to swap it out eventually, but it works well.

Probably not exactly what you were expecting....but this is a neat kit. Got these from Josh-Inde Drums a few years back. He had them from his Ludwig days. These are a prototype for a Ludwig Junior kit. They experimented with Club Date style center bowtie lugs. I had to have them. 16" bass with 8",10",13" toms with a 12" snare....Mike
