Old guy, getting younger
And yes, they’re still in the boxes. Yes, I did take out the 10” the other day, just to check it out. The 16x15 arrived today, so probably tomorrow, I’ll shoot an unboxing video.

I'm trying to be true...Really, I wanted to shoot an unboxing video but I couldn't wait when I opened the 10". So, if anything's amiss, it'll be documented. Silly, I know....Awesome peek so far. Please show more. Congrats Dan!!!!!!
Because I prefer those sizes. And I consider 22x14 to be a standard bass drum size. I'd have all my kits those sizes if I had that option. For example with my Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maples, it wasn't an option. As to leaving them in the boxes, I had decided to do an unboxing video a while ago. I'll get them unboxed, filmed and prepped for their debut at Saturday's gig.Curious as to why you went with the 22x14 and 16x15 sizes instead of the standard 22x16 and 16x16. Also curious as to how you can leave drums you've waited for for months in the boxes? I see you have other stuff to mess around with.
Beautiful! Loving that Canary Yellow! And yes, they’re still in the boxes. Yes, I did take out the 10” the other day, just to check it out. The 16x15 arrived today, so probably tomorrow, I’ll shoot an unboxing video.

Fair response. The reason I ask is I had a an SQ2 kit in heavy beech that had a 22x14 and I found it to be too slappy sounding. I often wondered if a 22x16 wouldn't have provided more tone. Different shells I know. Being a HUGE fan of the Tama Star Walnut they definitely are worthy of an unboxing video. Absolutely killer drums. Enjoy!Because I prefer those sizes.
