I'm guessing some majority of the membership here is from the US but I know not all by a longshot so if you're from the US you have to take out any inherent bias.

Hypothetically (of course), if you took a proportionately sized sample of random people in every nation and asked them who is the most popular drummer ever, who might that person be?

Not the most talented or successful but the most popular.

For the under 35 bracket in the English speaking world, it's probably Travis Barker if you asked them today.
That's what I was kind of wondering. For fun we ask a Gen-Z'r that works in our finance shop random stuff and bet on if she knows what we're talking about.

Like Lynyrd Skynrd - she had no idea who they are.

I'm pretty sure she knows Ringo but like you said I wonder how many really do.
