My Broadkaster collection:

and recently I added that beautiful 40's snare JP showed in this thread...

Wow. Great looking stuff. How is that new snare? It looks absolutely amazing.

I don't own any Round Badges, yet. But here is the coolest RB kit I've ever seen.

It's on the Drum Doctor's website.

DB...are you in Sydney? I was just looking at Dave Egan's RB yesterday on the drum doctor FB page. very cool.

50's era, no tags. Starlite Sparkle

These came up in a local live farm auction earlier this year. The owner had recently passed on and his wife told me that he got these brand new as a gift from what must have been a wealthy relative. My purchase included the pre-serial number COB supra, vintage stands, cymbals, speed king pedals, soft cases, hard cases, microphones, etc. She also assured me that the discolored drum was not re-wrapped. All three Gretsch drums sat in the soft cases and hard cases for over 30 years. I don't understand the color differences, but think it may have been caused by the soft cases. The FT was in a different soft case which didn't deteriorate over time. The BD and rack tom were stored in soft cases (dark brown) which are in worse shape, despite being stored together.

Nifty kit. The FT is accurate Starlight Sparkle. Interesting the how the case choice influenced color change. Set them up and post a picture!!

No. I just was cruising one day and came across this set. I saved the page because I thought it was the coolest RB set I've ever seen.

dori has seen this kit before, and probably others too. bought the 12 and 20 together, and later found a matching 16 FT, then flipped it for a nice profit. 1961 burgundy sparkle RB kit.

Now I have been waiting for a thread like this to join in! This is a late 1950's Gretsch Progressive Jazz Outfit 20-12-14 & 4X14 in Copper Mist Nitron. The bass & the 12" tom are 3 ply while the snare & the floor tom are 6 ply. All drums were together as an original set.
:notworthy: :occasion5: Now don't leave us hanging, where are the greens?
Here's a green one. While not "The" Green I still like it!

And a recycled "4th of July" shot from last year:

AND some WMP love too!

Two of my latest clean up/resto's you all have endured before:

I'll leave off. Not enough room. But there is some amazing Gretsch product in this thread!!
