Here are my RBs. Anything that is shown with modern hardware has the correct hardware put safely away. Great drums those Gretsch.

Of course. The one good thing about black is that the current wrap matches. If you can get a wreck at a good price, a rewrap will look pretty darn close to perfect.

Not exactly a perfect match but close enough for government work.

I saw those when JoLo had them. I don't know if he still has them or not.
He still has his set. Madchop's set is an entirely different set to JoLo's.

Oh right! Probably only 2 of them, right? I saw Jolo's . Definitely a conversation starter at the Chicago show.

I realized that I never posted my after shots. So you don't have to scroll back and find it I've re-posted the before pics. 1960's Gretsch in new tangerine. The kit was originally that color so I tried to bring it back to as original condition as I could. The kit also originally had a matching snare that was sold off in the 70's so I found an era correct snare in rough shape to match up with the kit. Garry Williams of San Francisco Drum Shop did the amazing work on the kit!

House kit at The Record Plant in Sausalito, CA. Used on Rick James and Sly & The Family Stone to name a few.

I thought I had posted previously to this thread, but I couldn't find it.

12/12/14/18. The two 12's had trashed batters but unused bottom heads. So, the second became the batter for the first. It was cool to have a 12 with two original untouched heads.

If anyone knows of a mid 60's 14 Permatone for sale please let me know. I'd like to do the same to the 14 tom.

The kit started out in NY and was used on the Don McLean album with American Pie on it however it wasn't used on the hit song. It was owned by Tom Flye. If he was the engineer on the Hendrix album then it could've been used on those sessions but I'm pretty sure Mitchell and Miles both used their own kits.

I'm the second owner of the kit as I purchased it from Tom a bit over two years ago.
