Wowwwww! I mean wowwwww, such nice gear! I own an echolette cabinet just like that on the seco d to last photo!@ Elephantone, my brother's studio and main hang. Lots and lots of fun toys. The orange strips in the control desk are re-racks of a vintage Electrodyne board built originaly for Sinatra. ZZ Top owned it for a while and the last owner prior to my brother was Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys. Awesome sounding piece of gear let me tell ya... In a pic you can see a 60's 12" Premier Tom that's from the very first set I bought and sold to him. The rest of the set is in his aspiring drummer son's bedroom. Yeah, we've been heavy hoarders of Echolette for years... We've got a few tape echo units. I also use an M40 head and ET100 cab as my personnal guitar setup (not shown here). Echolette has some of the best "not that well known" gear around. We often use the preamps in the tape echoes to re-amp anything and everything, even drums. They really add character, depth and dimension to tracks. Then again we're into vintage sounds, with lots of sweet sweet saturation and do not care about a little hiss or hum here and there. Not ideal if you like your recordings pristine and quiet.Wowwwww! I mean wowwwww, such nice gear! I own an echolette cabinet just like that on the seco d to last photo!
Is that Remo gold crown kit yours?8+ hr recording session yesterday. The kit is a Remo Gold Crown 20/10/12/14, snares are 14x5.5 Salt drums cast bronze (Duluth shell) named “Saltina”. Also used the 14x6.5 Gretsch solid steel and my 14x7 Solid Madagascar Rosewood N&C. All sounded great! (There’s also a house Supra down there that occasionally gets used).
Mix of Istanbul and a 24” 50’s old A (my favorite non-jazz cymbal).

Yep! Last kit they ever made. When I ordered them, they initially told the shop they were not making kits anymore, but decided to make this last one since it was a direct order. My second Remo kit I’ve owned, had an early 2000’s mastertouch. Phenomenal, underrated sounding drums. Is that Remo gold crown kit yours?
