On the one hand, because we decided to not play indoor shows for the time being, we probably won’t play anymore this year. On the other hand we already have three outdoor brewery shows booked for next spring and summer. Haven’t had the cats over since I got that Fender though.

Band practice in the studio. Remo Gold crown drums. Last set they ever made. I ordered them in February of 2014 from a local drum shop. Initially Remo declined, saying they stopped making them that year. Since the shop had already placed the order, they made an exception. 20/10/12/14. Istanbul Agop cymbals with a beautiful brilliant finish Sabian Artisan Medium ride 22.
Cask steambent rosewood 14x6.5 with cast bronze hoops.

I love everything about that kit! Is that the A&F hardware?
Thanks. I had a hard time deciding which kit to use last week, but in the end I went with this one and it definitely has the mojo.

The hardware is all vintage. Well, mostly. The cymbal stands are vintage/60s Walberg & Auge base sections with DW Ultralight mid and top sections. Combining the best of both worlds at no extra weight. The snare snare stands are vintage 1960s Buck Rogers (W&A), the hi hat is a vintage Gretsch Monster Hi Hat (again made by W&A) and last but not least, a vintage Gretsch Floating Action pedal.

We're planning on no one being able to hear just how good it sounds...especially around 1am.
You'll love that.
I'm spoiled, acerage, an out building, and cool neighbors. They text in requests when we reherarse. During Covid we took it outside a couple of times, I'm truly blessed with cool neighbors.

I will. My neighbors have been beyond nice about my drumming and my sons band and his guitar playing. We never go past 10pm because the space leaks like a sieve. On average it's probably two night a week we're even back there past 7pm. I make a point of recording or teaching during the day whenever possible.
This project will be a game changer. Complete with control room and live room and space for storage that includes a grand piano. I've got an experienced studio builder helping with our design. Fingers crossed.
