I have only heard the overhead track and they had real punch. There was a side camera but also a Zoom Q2N 4K shooting the front view (back maybe 15') and he is mixing the onboard stereo mics in with the kick and overheads for the room sound. He said it sounds great in there so I'm excited to hear it myself! The song is just Toto's Africa so I added a few extra toms lines to take advantage of those room mics!

So I have yet to play a post covid gig for people but I am so thankful to have the church opportunity. Just three to 4 tunes a week, but that has become so important over the past few months. none of it is my personal gear, but most of it used to be so it's very comfortable to me....

That has to be the best finish the Catalina's ever wore.
I wish Gretsch would offer it again.

Nice, but what drums are those?
I don't think I've ever seen them before.

That’s my main gigging kit for the last 20 years. They are Thumper Custom Drums Keller maple shells, 8 ply toms, 10 ply bass drum. They are shallow sized toms and deep bass, and everything nests in the bass drum. 20/10/12/15 (don’t always bring the 12) Basically, a hip gig kinda thing with actual quality shells. I have a matching kit in jazz sizes. Between those kits, I can cover any gigs that come my way.

Same spot still, a bar and grill in Tulsa, more toms set up on the old house kit. The owner thinks it looks much better like this, and i actually did a run over all four! He actually has three or four more toms for this set.
Proud to still be in this same office a year and a half into it.
