So here's where I'm at right now. Just loving the palette but still feeling like it's a bit too much. In the end, it doesn't matter because it's just me and my friends in the basement. Share your pics and breakdown.
BTW Really digging all these UFIPs in the past few months!

"Cymbals are highly addictive" there's always that "just one more" *
especially during idle times and even not-so-idle times.
* (even if you only play 4 at a time)

Right now I have about 8 Sets of.........Various personalities (I may want to ) or have to be.
That's what Idling will do in my case.

thats' why It's safer to marry the drums

I could go all Older A.
I could Go all old K.
I could go all newer B's.

Starting mixing that and you're into 24 different persons' )

Too much? I've got 20 or so surrounding my kit. It's bad enough that I'm at the point where I physically cannot squeeze in another cymbal, no matter how much I might want to. I hate storing cymbals, so clearly the answer is to just go ahead and buy another drumkit.

It's a sickness and I should probably seek help, but I won't.

Possibly too many for real world gig scenarios but not too many to own.

I've probably about 30 to 50 years left on earth which is nowhere near enough time to get to hear them all . Life sucks sometimes ;)

I re posted this 1 from the birds eye view. I am a basement player too. Play all sorts of stuff. I'm an old guy from the 80's so my kit is more of that time frame, but I do beat on all of these . Would I want to do shows out with this set up ? probably not. But back in the day I watched a ton of local shows with drummers hauling this type of stuff into a bar. It was the times. IMHOP,sounds have changed. If your chasing a sound you like have the cymbal. Don't worry about the image play the cymbals you like as many as you like. Have fun. Unless your sponsored don't worry about what others think. Again, JMHOP

It's not as bad as the pictures make it out to be. Everything is accessible and the cymbals can all be crashed without them banging into other ones. But yes, it's still a tight fit for sure.
