I know silkscreened LA Camco badges have been mentioned here before, so are most likely legit.
I know about LA silkscreen but they are 2nd gen badges. I have an Oaklawn WMP Tuxedo snare that was gifted to me by Ronn Dunnett that has a silk screened Oaklawn badge. I need to pull that drum out and look at it closer.

I had an LA Camco set that I bought from a Minnesota drummer named Ollie Manley(?) He had a piano black lacquer painted set 12/14/18 with gold hardware. I bought an LA Camco black lacquer snare from Joe Luoma to go with the set - not sure where it (the set) went to but it was a beauty! Congratulations on your Oaklawn set! Good luck with your search for the 14” FT!

I received the kit yesterday. I completely disassembled the kit , cleaned all the parts , shells inside and out and then reassembled them today. This kit had a lot of grime on it. The bass drum originally had a rail with an L-arm mount. Rogers mounts were installed in both those locations leaving 4 original holes exposed. I plan on patching those holes later down the line. The Rogers mounts have been on there a very long time as the paint behind the washers is as white as the washers behind the lugs.

The one oddity is that the Oaklawn badges are silk screened and not raised lettering. So I started thinking these were fake badges but the grommets and shells look perfect with no signs of tampering. Anyone else ever see this oddity before? It’s definitely a mystery!

It was missing the Camco spurs and floor Tom legs so I’m borrowing the spurs from another kit. I had one extra set of proper Camco floor Tom legs. It has 2nd generation COB hoops on top but generics on the bottom. I suspect this kit was used with the bottom heads off for years and the original hoops went missing at some point. Another victim of the 1970’s!

The kit cleaned up nice and I’m very happy to finally have a black Camco kit after all these years of looking! Now I just need a 14 floor to complete the kit.

No clue if it's the same set or not, but CHBO Drums in New Paltz NY has a "that" kit in stock- 12/14/18/snare LAs with gold hw and piano black lacquer. So cool! Chis' also got a walnut, I think, and alice cooper blue kits, both 20s.
