Vintage wires - 16 strands. Good condition - metal ends could use some cleaning. Wires are pretty straight, though. For a 14" snare. Total length from tip to tip is almost 13". I'm not really sure what they are worth or the era (60's?), so any input is appreciated. I was thinking $40 + $10 s/h ivia paypal....thanks.

When buying vintage wires to bring a snare back to original I'm more than willing to spend from $30-$40. If a particularly scarce or unusual set, maybe $50. I just paid nearly $50 for a very nice original set of 60's/70's Rogers Dynasonic 19 strand snare wires - very straight - barely oxidized - bright chrome. I would think your wires would be a happy addition to any number of 60's and 70's Rogers snare drums....Powertone and others.

Thanks. I have an original COB Powertone in great shape (not selling) and a Powertone mardi gras tribute I made, but I normally just use regular wires.

I figured someone who wants all original snare may use these more than me.

If anyone thinks the price is out of line, I'm all ears.....just based it on a $50 set I saw on eBay.
