stalky: Remember also, its just a strainer. You could find another brand that should fit that hole pattern.
I found an $18 Gibralter strainer that fit my 1962 Gretsch RB snare hole pattern.

Thanks for that, thought about going down that route but would've liked to be all original if possible.
Problem is the existing holes are horizontal not vertical as per most strainers.

Stalky: So is my Gretsch RB. This is the strainer I used. The arms can be bent to fit a different hole pattern . It may work for you. :
