yep 59-66 Intermediate
some era characteristics: stamp always in the middle of the cymbal
always somewhere lathe chatter
high profile almost A-ish cup;
lows/highs - mid freq hole;
"dry Dark Ice era"

The 15" is an Intermediate (1959-1966), the 18" appears to be an Early New Stamp (1967-1972), and the 22" appears to be a Later New Stamp (1972-1977(78)).

Having never even seen an old K I have had a stroke of luck recently. Bidded on an old fashioned auctioneers website and scored dirt cheap a nice old 70s Premier Royale drum kit which i noticed came with a whole bunch of cymbals, a camco pedal, and masses of old stands (in a pretty rough state tbh). Anyway nestled amongst the cymbals was a 13.5" K. I think it's 1960s?
Having struck gold once I also bid again on what was incorrectly labeled an old A Zildjian, it's actually a really nice 12" paper thin K. I can't work out a date on this one though as some of the stamp has gone. anyone more the wiser?

The hi hat sounds great, i've paired it up with the bottom of the reissue A Zildjian and Cie.

Hi Richie Paradise!

This one is a K. Constantinople, Stamp 3, which of course is followed by the Stamp 4 era, and then the K. Zildjian Istanbul Type 1 era (1930s-1945). Great find! Congratulations. I bet it sounds sweet!

I was asked to give some idea of value to some drums and struck rare gold for the UK.

I Found 4 Old Ks. An 18" ride, looks like 40s-50s from the stamp, and likewise with a pair of hi hats. Top hat has a crack but doesn't effect the sound. Ride still has autograph.

There was also another older 14" with the older Constantinople stamp by looks of it. Which is either a hi hat or a tiny crash ride. Has a small crack on edge too. All sound great despite age and cracks. We struck a fair deal and I used them straight away on a gig that night.

From never even seeing an old K I've stumbled across 6 in the past year. I must be like one of those truffle pigs or something. Happy days.
