I'll be most likely purchasing these pres today. I wondered what your experience with these are! I've done some tests on the BD, SD and OH and I dig how they sound. As far as I understand, they're Neve 1272 clones slightly modified as preamps rather than line amps. Do you have any? If so, what do you think and how do you use 'em?

I don’t have the 1272, but I do have a VINTECH 473 and really enjoy it on all of the places you mention. I’d encourage you to go for it!

30 db of gain might be a bit low for some microphones, particularly ribbons. Some of them need a bit more than this.
That's what would keep me from buying these. But if you tried it with your rig, it works and more importantly you dig the sound, then enjoy your new pieces of gear. Vintech usually does some very decent Neve "inspired" stuff that can hold their own in their price range.
