Here is the amazing Viola Smith's Birdseye Maple 6" x 14" Billy Gladstone snare drum.
She died last Wednesday, October 21st at the age of 107.

Oy that's going into museum or hi collectors hands...

(I played (wood black) once at Nodar's (it might have been a Lang now not so sure 30 years on)
I never heard so much Gretschy-ness come out of a drum so clean and clearly

Beautiful looking drum. Wow!! Obviously the chrome wad redone. How about the finish on the drum? Redone too or just cleaned?

Nothing, including the chrome, has been redone on this drum. It is in complete original condition.
The chrome on most Billy Gladstone snare drums is in very good condition. I assume the drummers who bought a drum of this caliber took good care of them.

Yes Dave, I'm the owner. I displayed it at the last Chicago Drum Show.
The birdseye maple is beautiful.

If i owned that drum, i,d be playing it at shows..under my watchful eye that is.
