It’s still ridiculous in my opinion.
Just like “ armchair “ quarterbacks ..
No one criticizes Jordan here, it's like you ask for your favorite 60 years old whiskey and suddenly you feel it is made with water from different source.

By the way, I'm surprised that technically in 2021 it is not possible to delay Jordan play to emulate the Charlie feel in the FOH system. Kind of hybrid: Excellent drummer putting the beat on acoustic set with electronics randomizing the sound in a way learned from Charlie studio tracks.

That would require complete isolation in the in ear monitors plus a low volume stage mix. It could be done, but could prove difficult.

I kinda of like it! Steve Jordan gives a more muscular feel to the songs (he hits way harder than Charlie Watts did). To me it sounds more like the way CW used to play these songs when they were original recorded than the way he currently played them, with more swing and finesse and with the hi-hat pattern!

Why do I have a feeling that they will get the feel right by the time they get the first show in the can?

I’m not feeling any dig on Steve Jordan at all. The Stones though are another story. Someone said it on here already; and though it was a small clip, it appears they are headed for the Casino Shows.

An excellent question, Joe... I'll ask Don and let you know.

And those aren't 3P Broadkaster; they're 6P USAC die cast right...oh too much detail

Without Charlie, it appears and sounds as if "The Stones" are Mick, Keith, and Ronnie. Everyone else is the backup band to "The Stones." // Best, skf
The same could be said about a lot of former "members":

Brian Jones
Bill Wyman
Ian Stewart, Ian Mclagan
Chuck Leavell
Bobby Keys
Mick Taylor
and
Lisa Fischer
