WFL Transitional Badge 1959 "Muffler" ??

This is a bit of a dilemma for me but I know you Ludwig experts will help me. This is my August 4th 1959 WFL Transitional Badge 6 lug Pioneer SD. I know in the transitional period before WFL reverted back to Ludwig they used different parts on their drums but I do not recognise this particular muffler in any of the catalogues. It certainly looks as if it was an original inclusion as you can see by the pictures This has a 1" diameter knob turner which indicates to me that it is non original but I do not recognise the muffler design at all. Is it a Gretsch or a Slingerland ??. Please help !!
