Let’s talk drum sticks, list your go to sticks!

I’ll start...so far, I’ve been using the Roy Haynes stick and a Vater New Orleans.

Due to arthritis in my wrists and hands, and surgery I had to rebuild the joint in my right thumb, I am currently using Zildjian Black DIP 7A's. Any other stick just kills my hands.

Vater bebob 525 maple. The lightest sticks I could find. Been using them for years. I mix in some La Beat 535s to.

Regal Tip 2B - I may have the last ones in Canada
Did they stop? I thought they just finished their retooling?

Anyway, my favorite is probably the old Ludwig 7A. What I USE regularly, though, are any of the barrel tipped 8A-ish models, of which there are quite a few.

Promark classic 5a! Before this it was the Vic Firth 55a. Before that SD2s and other maple sticks. I’ve run the gamut :icon_e_biggrin:

VF Buddy Rich for everything but Jazz. They are great for pounding out a blues & hip hop beats. The odd pair out are a pair of Bopworks Memphis R&B sticks. Same tip as the VF Buddys but lighter.
