At an estate sale and came across these old marching cymbals. There’s a third smaller one that has a lien on it and it looks like an old UFIP. Seller is asking $150.

They are hand hammered, but the shape and profile do not look like a typical Zildjian. Pretty heavy too

I'd lean towards Italian (Pasha, Ajaha, etc). I wouldn't pay the $150 unless the 3rd odd one was an old Zildjian.

I recently picked up a 30's Zilco 16" (1650 gm) that is quite the man-hole cover. Despite being very dark and pretty musical....not sure what I can do with it....lol.
Maybe a small kit ride?

The smaller one, probably a 14 inch, had a lion on it, which is an old UFIP. I just assumed these were German as well since they had a lot of German stuff in the house.

I have a pair of 14.75" Zenjians that look a lot like that. Heavy. Pretty wild, dark, and loud as hats.

$150? A bit high, imo.

I've heard that marching cymbals sound pretty bad as drum set cymbals (I could be wrong). I wouldn't buy them at all unless I plan on marching around my yard with them. That poses a whole other set of issues though.

Let us know if you need bail money.
