If you're in a band, you'll learn this song, then use the OPENING to Freebird as a segue into this song. :icon_e_biggrin:
The melody the lyrics are sung to remind me a little of "Spooky", too.

...speaking of The Classics IV....

...been watching a lot of this stuff lately. I think I wanna fall into a retro 70's band, do all the light pop/Jazz-Pop stuff. Will definitely have to include a Fender Rhodes and maybe some horns.

...but would people come to see us?.....

As far as I’m concerned, an aging rocker doing an album of standards (or should-be standards like the second song below) with a big jazz band is usually a recipe for disaster, but the new Chryssie Hynde album is really good. The arrangements are lush and romantic, but with an undercurrent of psychedelia. Her voice is still great and suits the material very well.

When you're a good singer to begin with, you can usually transcend genre's with little trouble.
She has a great feel for the music, too and I think that helps as well.
I didn't know these tracks existed, thanks for the heads up, Larold. :thumbright:

...If I had a time machine, I would be vey tempted to go back to '58 and get to know that girl...

...but I'd also want to be about 22 years old when I went back there. ;)
