I have been listening a lot to Jacques Loussier trio and now switched to as much Oscar Peterson trio as I can find .....

Whenever someone talks about German bands, I'm reminded of the time a kid asked us for band name suggestions.
I told him to tell everyone he plays in German heavy metal band and call themselves Vanden Plaz.
I was joking, as I was quoting the little plaque seen on the back of some Jaguar cars (which I was once told translates to "...with air conditioning"...they lied to me :cry: ).
A few posts later, someone else informed me that there already was a German Heavy Metal band called Vanden Plas ! :blink:

Yeah that was a great show.
Ray Brown and The REAL world's fastest drummer, Bobby Durham. Man that guy could play fast!
The show was only on for a couple of years but reruns ran for a few more years.
Joe Pass made a few appearances, as did Jimmy Rowles and Zoot Sims.....



...someone should do a tv show like that again (maybe they do already?).
