I pulled up Rick Marotta on Discogs, I heard Lawyers, Guns and Money on Sirius and got curious, and started at the beginning of the list and found some interesting music...what went for a recorded drum sound in the 70s, boxy, weird, muddled...but fit in with the music, it doesn't get in the way. Huge fresh Yamaha tom samples would have killed the vibe of a Laura Nyro ballad. His time and confidence are unbelievable. Digging a lot of it.

Just ran across these guys out of Austin Texas a week or so ago through a post on a Ludwig FB page I’m a part of... I’ve become totally hooked! I don’t even think they have an album out yet, from what I see they’re working on the first EP now, but, hot damn I’m digging this! Their website says it best... like Hendrix meets Sabbath!
