Discovered this guy's channel a couple nights ago; Camille Sullet. I can't decide what I like more here - the tune, his playing, or the ridiculously great sounding snare drum.

This is the tune that gets the heavier rotation in the ol' practice playlist lately: Capsized by Andrew Bird. Drummer Ted Poor did a great job with this simple but oh so effective groove. The break and fill around 2:20 says it all.

Listening to the new CD by Tal Wilkenfeld called "Love Remains". She previously played with Jeff Beck. Excellent bass player and song writer. I like her vocals, very unique. It's very good!

She's fantastic, and that's a great song.
Not that her sound is similar, but for me Tal's uniqueness and willingness to step outside typical conventions with her lyrics and phrasing puts her right along side artists like PJ Harvey and Tori Amos. Her voice is unusual and oddly addicting, if that makes sense. She also surrounds herself with exceptional musicians.
I have begun a quest to listen to all the suggested tracks in this thread, starting here.
Should be interesting, eye opening and probably get me started on some great music I’ve never heard before.

The 2005 edition of Guinness World Records stated that was the longest gap between #1 albums ever occurring (a record which is now held by Paul McCartney since his seventeenth solo studio album, Egypt Station, topped the Billboard 200 chart on 2018, his first since his 1982's Tug of War).
