Yeah there's the this over that thing (so I hear patterns of (repeats of four) 8th notes on the toms, sounding like 1234, 1234, 1234 etc..), so yes, 12 is there too.. just that it feels to me (especially in the first soundfile) like the underlying cycle repeats after 9 rather than 12 8th notes.
But I'm curious what music theory guys say. I'm not a confident music-theorist at this point.
If I told you everybody would be doing it, and you can say sayonara to your individuality.
Actually I don't care:
Threesome: 8th notes in 9/8, hitting the tom on the 1&A and 3. In the middle it shifts to the 2 and 3&A. Downbeat plus end of the "triplet" of the following beat, whatever beat you want to count it on. In the third quarter it goes into 12/8 and you're playing a four note pattern, then it goes back to the first thing at the end.
Again 3s: four note pattern in 12/8
What's the sticking, just alternating, partial rim clicks w/ the left hand?
when it's off the floor tom it's "right hand" led motion.
when Small tom- it's Left
when Floor tom- it's Right
in-between is hail if I know
It's one my very few "just feel don't think" acts
(might be the only one)
No I have others. That are incomprehensible- but repeatable- over and over..
So (evidently..) some part of me knows what I'm doing But I couldn't tell ya
(but this is the one that sounds least ..like a mistake..an error.)
but I'll work that out too
