I've owned a bunch of Pearl snares as well.

I would like it to be Ludwig, but it's actually Yamaha.

Over the years Ludwig have been the most plentiful snare drums in my arsenal, followed closely by GreTsch, both of many vintages.
Next would be Joyful Noise; I’ve had or still have some Canopus, Longo, Craviotto’s and then a plethora of other brands (Rogers, Sonor, Slingerland, Yamaha, etc.).

My snare collection is somewhat lackluster compared to most here..

It would be a tie between
Gretsch - Premier - Ludwig - Tama - Rogers and A&F

1 of each. Though I no longer own the Tama nor the Premier.

The Black Magic goes out with me for every gig since 2010 unless changing a head/minor repair

in my current lineup it's Tama and Yamaha with 5 of each. I'm kind of surprised about Tama being at the top of the list since I have only owned one Tama kit and I purchased it strictly for resale. Most of the Tama snares I have are odd balls (i.e., 16x10). At this point only one makes it out on a regular basis, and it's my newest one. I have 5 Yamaha snares although I have a duplicate of the Steve Jordan with wood hoops instead of steel.

Here's my list in purchase order from newest to oldest:

  1. Tama 14x6.5 Star Walnut
  2. Tama 16x10 Birch S.L.P.
  3. Dunnett 14x6.5 Raw Titanium
  4. Yamaha 13x6.5 Maple Steve Jordon W/wood hoops
  5. Tama 14x6.5 Mastercraft Steel
  6. A&F 14x6.5 Raw brass
  7. Sonor 13x5.75 Beech Benny Greb
  8. Van Kleef 14x6.5 Magnesium
  9. Tama 14x6.5 S.L.P. Acrylic
  10. DW 14x5.5 Maple Super Solid
  11. Ludwig 14x5.5 Aluminum Supraphonic
  12. Tama 14x10 Birch S.L.P.
  13. Noble & Cooley 14x4.75 Aluminum
  14. Tama 14x12 Bubinga Starclassic
  15. Tim McKenzie 14x6.5 Aluminum
  16. Keller 14x6.5 Maple
  17. DW 10x6.5 Maple Collector’s
  18. Yamaha 8x5 Birch Mahogany Club Jordan
  19. Yamaha 14x6 Maple Anton Fig
  20. Yamaha 14x5.5 Maple Dave Weckl
  21. Pearl 14x5.5 Brass Sensitone
  22. Yamaha 13x6.5 Maple Steve Jordon
  23. Morgan Langmere 14x5.5 Maple Stave
  24. Pearl 13x3.5 Brass
  25. “Slingerland” 14x5.5 Mahogany
