Man, this is an old thread!

Mine changes depending on what it is, but it involves Zildjians (vintage or current or combination). Minimal would be a main ride and a crash/ride of some type. After that, everything is gravy like a swish or smaller crash, etc. I’m not a one setup guy, but here are a few that I’ve done..

K Con 22” Renny or 24 K light
Old K 20” riveted or 20” doom
17” crash hats

24” old A thin
22” Spizz
22” K Con
A hats 15 or 16

Well, since this thread now got revived after quite a few years, I might as well contribute. My current cymbal setup is quite new anyways:

All Paiste:
22" Rude Power ride (The Reign)
20" 2002 Novo China
20" 2002 crash
19" 2002 crash
18" 2002 crash
16" 2002 power crash
14" 2002 crash
14" 2002 Sound edge hi-hats
14" PSTX Swiss thin crash
15" (red) Colorsound heavy hi-hats
12" (red) Colorsound splash
10" (red) Colorsound splash
All those cymbals set up together? Crikey!

22" Sabian AA Flange Ride, now hung with a short, aluminum chain down its shoulder (bought by my father in 1987, along with the kit he got me for graduation.)

14" Sabian HH Sizzle Hats (bought in 1987, from money I earned working in my Grandparents' yard that summer)

16" Sabian AA Flat Chinese, same era (softest, friendliest, best all-round crash I've ever heard. Always get comments on it.)

14" Bosphorus something or other (purchased about 20 years ago as a nice effects crash)

My most recent and most favourite set-up of all K Constantinoples:

14" pre-redesign hi hats
18" crash
20" bounce ride (with 2 rivets)
22" medium thin low ride
22" light ride

I have some other cymbals that sometimes get swapped in, but this is my home base.
K Cons just look like they sound great.
