Who in the world was he taking lessons with!?!?!?!?!Yes he does. I've taken one. All we did was shoot the bull and that was my fault. I had no intention of being humiliated. And yes, I know, that's my hang up. He teaches at my local drum shop on occasion. Also, it's funny, right after my lesson , he excused himself to another studio in the shop where he was taking a lesson believe it or not. He called "his tune up".
He's been heavy with the 'sound levels' concept for a long time. The material published in MD was from the same material he taught at Dick Grove in the 80s. Somehow, a lot of those handouts made it to MI during that time, and it was the sound level concept applied to linear grooves that were permutated every possible way.I remember Mr Garibaldi being a fairly regular columnist in Modern Drummer. Were those articles based on material from Future Sounds ?
