A stencil of a stencil?.....Maybe an early Pearl stencil type drum before they settled on a final spelling of the word Pearl or Pearle....

my long shot - language gets changed for different markets sometimes
I remember reading Alfa Romeo model "164" translated to "bad omen" or when spoken and had to be altered in some markets

I'm blown away they didn't change the Audi E-tron in my mostly french speaking market. In french, Etron litteraly translates to "Turd"... Not kidding...

The Chevy Nova didn't sell in Mexico since no va in Spanish means "it won't go".
