I could really need some fast help on figuring out what the rhythm that is used in Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday is called. Are we talking swing, some sort of ska or a shuffle-thing?

I wouldn't call it disco, but it's definitely a sixteenth note pocket thing; if you keep 1 and 3 on the bass drum and 2 and 4 on the snare, at least initially, you should be fine.

Go to YT, check out some live versions of this and see what his band does with it live. They probably won't do the record verbatim, but it'll feel good.

If you try a shuffle or ska approach, you may encounter amazement or hostility from others on the stage.

:) the reason for my question is not "how do I play it", but it's for use in an analysis of the song. And I know that there isn't a rhythm called 'Disco with a reggae-feel", though that is what i sounds like.
