Case and pointTo be honest, he could play cardboard boxes or Tupperware bowls and it wouldn't matter, Vinnie always sounds brilliant.
No data is ever truly deleted off the internet
Had not watched for a while, I also miss the unboxing segment
That is completely inaccurate. My little understanding was Vinnie was going through some health/family issues and wanted to massively simplify things distribution-wise.
I believe at the time he was living near North Carolina or Indiana.
Instead of having to make phone calls to multiple vendors, he could call Ludwig and get drums and heads at the same time instead of having to call Gretsch & Remo. Anything to make things easier during a stressful time is helpful.
I believe dsop was/ is in charge of Vinnie's social media or ran his website. If anyone were to know it would be him. Seems kind of irresponsible to claim someone was sick on the Internet without having all the facts. Are you in contact with Vinnie and know something I don't? Seems rude to just shut me down without any clarification. Vinnies dad was very sick at that time.

Always respect your input John.I know I'm going to regret jumping into the fray, but some of the information is inaccurate. After Vinnie left Zildjian in March 2012, and I left Zildjian at the end of 2012, we were back in regular contact in 2013, during his brief time with Ludwig. He had valid reasons for the decisions he made and that's all I'll say.
But I can confirm that when Vinnie left Zildjian in March 2012, I personally told him he could come back if he changed his mind. At the time, I didn't anticipate leaving Zildjian nine months later. But yes, I offered to waive what we called "Armand's Golden Rule." He's certainly worth it.
And that was the moment Vinnie re-re-discovered that great Gretsch sound and was baptized in silver sealer. He was home again and the drums weren't fighting him any longer....The Endwell...I was told that Vinnie showed up to play the New Orleans Jazz Festival with Sting expecting drums to be there provided by Ludwig.
VC went to the gig site only to find NO DRUMS waiting for him. Why? I don't know...but it was a BIG SCREW UP on Ludwig's part.
Sooo...Vinnie ended up "renting" a kit in Kenner Louisiana that would meet his needs.HE paid for it.I guess the drums were picked up or returned afterward.
So VC called Ludwig and asked that they REPAY HIM the $ for the rental.Ludwig,in a word, refused.
END of relationship.
