That was a nice 1st cymbal. If I had to chose only 1 size for a crash cymbal, it would be a 16 inch. I started out with the Sabian B8 pack. They made a cymbal type noise I guess.Yeah I guess I should have taken the topic at hand into consideration. Having never owned anything but a 20" B8 Pro Heavy Ride I guess it's a B20 thing. I still have my very first cymbal purchase around probably '89, a 16" AA Thin Crash, and I wouldn't even call it grimy.
It's really amazing what Paiste has been able to do with that alloy. I think both Zildjan have made better sounding models using B8? The S line. If that's B8?
