Picked up one of these.

It's heavier than I expected when empty, but lighter than I expected when full (even with a 6.5 bell brass snare in it).

Loaded up with a pedal, stick bag, snare, "emergency kit" of tools / spare parts, and my cymbals. Doing a bit more backlined gigs (and hourly rehearsal rooms), so having one case to bring that has everything I need was appealing.

Wish it fit 22" cymbals, but otherwise super happy with it.

My new (to me) late 90's Ayotte-Keplinger 14x5.5 snare. One owner. I gave it a wipe down and added new heads and wires; Remo coated vintage Emp on the top, Amb snare side, and Puresound Equalizer 16 strand wires (Greg stocks his snares with 16's, figured I'd give it a try, nice ratio of shell to wires). Otherwise the snare is all original. It's been awhile since I played one of these (even longer since I've owned one), and forgot how great they sound...they have there own vibe with the wood hoops, can't wait to track with it. I currently have it setup with my 89' Ayotte kit, which also sounds unreal, thanks to Ray Ayotte further customizing it. Great combo. I also gave it a weigh - 14.8 lbs.

I WILL SHOW THAT TO MY WIFE, not sure she will "appreciate. but hey guys, you need to live dangerously!! She's usually the one who tells me no ore "Music stuff"...
I was on Keys, then Guitars, then basses, then guitar pedals and pedalboard, then bass pedals and pedalboard and then drums, cymbals and snares...Ok, I was a bit on PA and Recording stuff even before guitar and bass...
But I have bought a lot used stuff so, usually I show her what she "saved" with me as I'm very good at buying "old" stuff compared to new ones...Yes, I know, I said "she saved"....I didi the same to my Dad when he bought me for 10,000 French Francs in 1978 my L100 Hammond Organ + Leslie, at that time a new B3 hammond should have been around 30,000/35,000 Francs maybe?
AND, BIG AND, due to my accident, I don't buy anymore Bikes stuff, paragliding and windsurfing and climbing and trekking stuff so, big BIG SAVING!!! FOR HER!!!

Ok, ha yes and Beta 52 for Kick, SM57 right angle for snare and SM81 for hihat ok, great.
I need three more 98 Beta amp mics for the new rig, but those are the best of all the mics I have (and had, even smoking out the md-421 on floors).

If they weren’t so expensive, I wouldn’t have got the Sm 27’s on the floors, as the 98’s do such a great job capturing the lows.

It took a while to put the funds together and to get it all sorted, but i am soooo happy.

I found this one in our neihgborhong country and it is perfect for the prog rock direction I want to go.

Only missing a 15” to complete the 6 rack tom setup. But for now this will do fine.

I found a second BOA pedal too, and got some more rack items in.

(the straight front bars are just temps until I can measure the curved ones for to cut them in correct legth when the toms have arrived).

Over the last year:
Analog kit: Sakae snare, 3 new cymbals, new pedals all around
Digital kit: EF note 14" snare and 21" ride, Edrum in (4x4)
Many stands. First time both kits operational at once.
