I think thats a US made one. If its original paint you’ll see italy embossed under one of the lugs if its a later one

Imo experience its best to think of Norths as 2” bigger than their head size as the opposite opening is 4” bigger on each drum it kind of splits the difference

Finally, arrived and installed, another diffuser, I will have just to put some Primacoustic columns, 24x12x3" in front of the window and to hang between them some guitars ans i will be good. Next diffuser is just in lieu of the surf, so, a long one, like 60"X45"? and some in the Den, where I mix. PPFFUUU, tough to be a musician!!! Sorry, not really drums but will help to record them"

Saw this on craigs list for 250 couldn’t believe it. 80s Supra. Owner told me eddie moneys take me home tonight was recorded with this snare and that he and someone else owned the studio. No way to know for sure but either way the price was insane. Best drum purchase I’ve ever had

A 12" Aquarian Modern Vintage Medium drum head for my snare drum. Best head I have ever had for brushes. My old one has lasted a couple of years and still very playable but it doesn't hurt to have a spare.....

Just arrived tonight. Eight-lug, yes 8, Classic Maple. I've wanted a r/w/b Ludwig since 1976! I let many pass me by, but decided to jump on this one. Put my usual Canopus wires on it and of course, red grosgrain. Ha! Tuned it up, sounds amazing. Taking it to rehearsal tomorrow.

So, I talked about it in my thread "Small collection of snares", this is the last acquisition, Mapex 30th Anniversary Walnut 8 ply, 8 mm. The sound is awesome, big loud but also super sensitive, I had it close to me to tune it between calls during my shift at home and when I was talking, the wires were starting to sizzle!!??
And super easy to tune, it came also already well tuned, F3# which is perfect for me for this low end wood, Anyway, for 500 Can$, it's a A snare and not "a B Snare of a Sub brand" I was thinking Mapex was. Wel, I didn't know them very well but Now, I know, I think I will buy a second Mapex, here are the photos:

After realizing that a stand up cocktail kit as not going to work for me . I saw this DW 5000 sidekick pedal and thought this could work to allow me to play a cocktail style kit sitting down rather than standing .
I have an 18” Ludwig Classic maple floor tom I plan to use this with .
