Now thinking of maybe selling the classic maples eventually and building a 3 ply black oyster kit with orphans instead.
Why not sell off everything and just get a set of Ludwig Legacy series drums.
Same reinforced 3 ply shells and they're new drums with modern hardware.
Best of all worlds.

Tempting but probably still a bit too expensive even if I sell what I have.

I got this earlier in the week. Always wanted one but they were hard to find for awhile. I thought about a 6" depth but just about all my snares are 14x6 so I went with this little 14x5 cracker instead. I'm really liking it too!

I bought the bongo toms 9 months ago for my kit. Thought they would be a nice addition. The original 8" RK head was too torn up to use it. It took me
9 months to figure out exactly what I wanted to do with it. Well, today the replacement head came in. Sizes are 6, 8, 13, 16, 20, 22 and 5.5x14 snare.

I cannot still figure out why I need these 10" snares while i was more a 5" deep snres guy not long ago, I love yours, the look is so massive, I bet the sound is too!!!
Full bodied robust and deep yet sensitive and warm. A little louder than a jazz fest . I’m obsessed.

A 14x6.5 Rogers Xp-10 NOS raw shell from Al Drew Music. I now have all the parts to build an NOS clone down to the green felt lug gaskets. I was planning on just using a keller shell I picked up from Anderson International years ago but it ended up having too much grain compared to the OG Xp-10 shells.
