Wherever my boy Will is standing!

(seriously, when I used to use one, it would be clamped on the bass in the middle)

I used to be in a surf band and we played one song that had a cowbell. I mounted it to the bass drum hoop. Otherwise, it stays on a shelf at home. I cringe any time I'm asked to play cowbell on Honky Tonk Women. Charlie never played cowbell on that song, Jimmy Miller did on the record, backup singers play it live. Now if I was in a Mountain tribute band doing the Corky Lang thing, it would be mounted to the BD hoop all the time.

On the right, with a red LP block above it. I like that I can play the cowbell and move around the toms without crossovers / over-under moves on Latin feel tunes. ;-) Used to play mounted on bass batter hoop.

I've had mine on the kick for years, but have been playing around with it on the left of the hats after watching that Adam Deitch clinic video. You can do some interesting things with it over there :).

I mount the cowbell in the other room so I don't have to play Blue Oyster Cult! :headbang:

I use a wood block mounted on my Bassdrum, but I use a cowbell on the left of my high hats and a second (lower tone) cowbell on my right just over the floor tom.
I mean, the more cowbells the better the drum set... am I right?

Holy cow (bell) Batman - his cowbell is bigger than his bass drum!

My thought is, that qualifies as a cow gong...
It's a Rock cowbell on a 22" kick and a Mambo cowbell over a 16" floor. When I was gigging I would play a smaller Black Beauty mounted on the kick and usually the Rock mounted to the right. I would bring the Mambo for the singer.

If that's a 22" bass drum then that cowbell is 4 ft long and the dude is 12' tall.
