I have a set with particularly beautiful interiors and I'm a little bugged that its Remo Ambassador heads are so hazy. I'm guessing Evans but thought I'd ask the group.
+1Aquarian Classic Clear heads are nice and clear.

I've been using Remo Clear Ambassadors since the late 70s and they have never been crystal clear. Their only crystal clear heads are the Clear Emperor, Clear Pinstripe/Powerstroke III, and No-collar snare side Amabassador.Funny thing is I was cleaning out my garage and I had a stack of old drumheads lying in a flightcase, most of them from the 90´s. A couple of clear Ambs and they were crystal clear, not milky like they normally are. So, apparently Remo used a super clear film at one time for Ambassadors.
Yeah, but are we supposed to reopen 10 year old threads, create new ones or just respond LMGTFY for every new topic? (The last one really burns me up. I can't tell you how many times I've searched for an answer only to find the #1 and #2 hits are LMGTFY or "use the search dummy". Google should automatically drop any hit with that in it.that did it.
Effectively every question in regard to Drums has been asked.

There’s quite a difference in the old Ludwig heads and Remo’s “clear”. In this photo all the tom heads are NOS Ludwig with the exception of the repro (made by Remo) on the 16 FT.Back in the '70s when I was playing a clear Vistalite drumset I noticed that the Ludwig clear heads were less opaque than the Remos. But I haven't paid attention to the matter since then.
Yep. I remember a '70s advertising blurb where Ludwig described the heads on their Vistalite drums as being "water clear". I don't think anyone else's clear heads have come close to that since. There’s quite a difference in the old Ludwig heads and Remo’s “clear”.
